You play against the dealer, and your objective is to end the game with a hand higher in value than the dealer without going over 21 points. The game is played with 6 decks of 52 cards, which are shuffled between game rounds.

Picture cards are worth 10 points, number cards worth their face value, and aces can be one or 11, depending on what works best for your hand.

The game starts with you selecting your bet size and number of hands to play. Choose your desired chip denomination and lay your bet/s on the table in front of you. When satisfied, hit DEAL to receive your cards.

Each player position is dealt two face-up cards, with the dealer then receiving their hand last, one face-up and one face-down card. It’s then your turn to decide how to play. You can pick from various options depending on the cards you hold, including:

• Double – double your bet and receive one more card
• Split (if permitted) – separate two equal ranking cards into two separate hands

Once you have played, if you have not busted out, i.e., gone over 21 points, the dealer will reveal its second card and play. Hands are then compared, and payouts are awarded as appropriate.

There are a number of specific game rules worthy of mention, which can vary from variant to variant. For example, in this game, the dealer must always stand on 17 points.

There are also a bunch of rules around splitting doubles. Splits are only offered once per hand, with no re-splits allowed. If you do split your hand, neither hand will qualify for the full blackjack payout of 3:2 in the event of a win. Split aces will receive only one card with no double-down option given.
