It’s a sport that combines knowledge, a gut feeling for the game, and more statistics and data than you can shake an aluminium bat at. On top of this, the MLB baseball season features 2,430 games, and that’s before we’ve hit the postseason playoffs, offering you a huge variety of betting opportunities.
You can take full advantage of those opportunities with Parimatch. Our array of MLB betting markets range from season-long outright bets, like division and league winners, and World Series final winners; to In-Play betting markets that let you bet on outcomes live as the action unfolds. Our competitive MLB odds mean you maximise the returns on the bets you win.
Major League Baseball is split into two leagues of mixed American and Canadian clubs, called the American League and the National League. Each league is then split into three divisions, each with five teams. That’s 15 teams in the American League and the National League each, making 30 teams in total in Major League Baseball.
The Major League Baseball season begins in late March or early April each year and runs to late September or early October. During those six months, the five clubs in each division play each other 19 times (77 games) and play six or seven games against the teams from the other two divisions in their league (66 games), for a massive 162 games played during the regular season (2,430 games in total). At the end of the MLB season, the postseason play-off games are played throughout September and October. The top eight teams in the National League and the American League play each other in separate knock-out tournaments, before the winners of each league meet in the World Series final, played as a best-of-seven playoff.
