Evolution launched Lightning Storm Live in 2024. It’s the studio’s biggest, most ambitious live game show to date. When you play Lightning Storm online, you’re invited to join the host in the deep, dark depths of a mad scientist's lab.

Now, let’s get back to Lightning Storm. In this game, Evolution has not just given you one game to play: there are six games available. The first game is the Lightning Round. This is a classic wheel game. The Lightning Round decides what will happen in the next round. 

When the Lightning Round begins, you’re given 12 seconds to make a bet. You’ll see a giant vertical wheel made up of 39 segments.  There are 1-20 numbered bet spots and 19 leaf spots. 

When the betting is over, the host will spin the wheel. There are five bonus games in Lightning Storm, and each one is given a bonus symbol. Each symbol has four segments on the wheel. The bonus symbols are randomly assigned to the 20 bet spots during the wheel spin. 

We’ll look at the games in more detail in a later section, but here are the five games to look out for:

While the wheel is spinning, random multipliers between 2x and 50x can be assigned to the bonus symbol segments. At least one random multiplier will be assigned on every spin. The multiplier will be applied to the bonus game on which the wheel lands. 

If the wheel lands on a leaf segment, the bet will be paid out according to the payouts. One of the five bonus games will be played if the wheel lands on one of the bonus game segments. You can place several bets in the Lightning Round, which we introduce in the following section. 

During the betting phase of the Lightning Round, you can use the betting table to place various wagers. You can place single bets on each of the 20 numbered segments. If the wheel stops on that segment, you will win this bet and go through the corresponding bonus game. You can also bet on the leaf segments. 

Additionally, you can place two other types of bets: Storm Chaser and X Chaser. Both bets can be placed by using the betting table. 

The Storm Chaser bet will automatically place a bet on every spot with a bonus symbol. The X Chaser bet places a bet on all spots that have been assigned multipliers.

When you play Lightning Storm Live, there are five super-charged bonus games: Hot Spot, Monster Mash, Battery Charger, Fireball, and Lightning Storm:  

Hot Spot 

This game is played on a giant wall with a 9x12 grid. Each space is assigned a multiplier, which is then hidden, and the spaces are shuffled. You need to pick the positions where you think the highest value multipliers are hidden.  

Monster Mash 

You can create your own Frankenstein's monster in this game. It’s played on a large cylinder with three horizontal reels, one each for the head, body and legs. Each reel has a random multiplier. You’ll be awarded the multipliers that are displayed when the reels stop spinning. 

Battery Charger 

This game consists of a conveyor belt and a mini-wheel. The mini-wheel is divided into four sections: two large red sections and two smaller green sections. The batteries contain multipliers, and as the conveyor belt moves, they fall into the charger. If the mini-wheel stops on red, the battery explodes, and if it stops on green, you win the multiplier. 

Fireball 

In this game, the host bounces the fireball onto a grid of 149 pockets, which feature regular and double multipliers. You'll be awarded the multiplier if the ball lands on a regular pocket. If it lands on a double pocket, all the multipliers will be doubled, and the host will relaunch the ball. 

Lightning Storm 

This game features a massive billboard with eight regular and three global multipliers. At the start, you need to select one of three lightning strikes. When the lightning hits the board, it will move around, and you’ll be awarded the multipliers it lands on.
