September 2025 will be the first time a core VCT-branded global event arrives in France, with Paris set to host the grand finale of the VCT season, the VALORANT Champions.
Sixteen of the best VALORANT teams will battle it out in Paris, with a $2,250,000 prize pool up for grabs. Our VALORANT Champions preview covers all bases, so learn about your Esports betting options at Parimatch Sportsbook.
If you’re new to Esports betting, VALORANT is one of the largest communities, thanks to the smoothly run and well-funded VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT).
VALORANT is a free-to-play tactical first-person shooter developed and published by Riot Games in June 2020. It’s a five-on-five game in which teams compete in rounds, switching between attacking and defending specific bases.
Throughout the year, the best Esports teams, such as Fnatic, Team Liquid, and G2 Esports, compete in international leagues and Masters events to earn ranking points on the Tour. This all leads up to the Champions Tournament, which commences in September 2025.
The Paris VALORANT Champions tournament will be held at two different venues for the separate tournament stages. Beginning on September 12th, 2025, the group stage and early playoffs will be hosted at Les Arènes de Grand Paris Sud, and the later playoffs and finals will take place at the Accor Arena, a prestigious Esports venue with a capacity just shy of 20,000.
If you want to watch the VALORANT Champions live online, all the action from the event will be live-streamed on YouTube and Twitch on the official VALORANT Esports channel.
All sixteen teams that qualified for the VALORANT Champions in Paris will head into the group stage, where they will be divided into four groups of four. The group stage is a double-elimination GSL format, with all the matches being best-of-three. Once the group stage is over, the top two teams in each group will continue into the playoffs, while eight teams are eliminated.
The playoffs, taking place on the 25th of September, are an eight-team double-elimination bracket with teams seeded into brackets based on their group stage performance.
The last teams standing will then head into finals weekend, commencing on the 3rd of October. They will compete in either the Lower Bracket Final or the Grand Final, the only best-of-five contests in the tournament. The Grand Final crowns the 2025 VALORANT world champion.
The 2025 VALORANT Champions will award $2,250,000 in prize money, with the top team taking home $1,000,000. All sixteen teams will receive a chunk of the prize pool, which is determined by their final placement in the tournament.
Below are the details of how the prize money will be shared amongst teams depending on their performance in Paris:
Placement | Prize Money |
1st place | $1,000,000 |
2nd place | $400,000 |
3rd place | $250,000 |
4th Place | $130,000 |
5th – 6th place | $85,000 each |
7th – 8th place | $50,000 each |
9th – 12th place | $30,000 each |
13th – 16th place | $20,00 each |
With only two of the sixteen teams for the 2025 VALORANT Champions confirmed, there is no clear picture of who will likely win it. However, given recent performances, there are certainly a few contenders to consider when placing a bet on the VALORANT Champions at Parimatch.
EDward Gaming, winning the previous VALORANT Champions in Seoul, South Korea, where they defeated Team Heretics in a dramatic 3-2 Grand Final, could be a team to look out for as potential winners, with them proving to be consistently dominant in China.
Given their aggressive and creative playstyle, Paper Rex will likely be in the conversation at the back end of Paris 2025 after completing their recent quest to become champions of the Masters Toronto 2025.
When considering who could be the top team at the 2025 VALORANT Champions, it’s difficult to look past G2 Esports and Fnatic. Both are powerhouses with consistent regional and international form heading into the Champions.
