Survival was the target last season. Leeds United achieved it with room to spare.
Daniel Farke’s side finished 14th in their first year back in the Premier League, collecting 47 points and confirming safety with three matches still to play. The challenge for 2026/27 is different. Leeds now need to prove they can build on that platform rather than becoming involved in another long fight near the bottom.

Leeds betting odds are available before each Premier League fixture. The standard match market lets you back Leeds, their opponents or the draw after 90 minutes, with further options normally added as kick-off approaches.
Season-long markets take a wider view.
Depending on availability, you may be able to bet on Leeds to finish in the top half, qualify for Europe, end the campaign inside the top six or be relegated. Parimatch currently includes Leeds across several 2026/27 Premier League outright markets, including top-six and top-10 finishes.
The price will not stand still for nine months. A strong opening run could shorten Leeds United’s top-10 odds. Injuries, poor form or a difficult set of fixtures may push their relegation price in the other direction.
Use the live numbers shown on the page rather than relying on an older price quoted elsewhere.
Leeds begin the campaign away to Nottingham Forest on 22 August. It is an interesting opening fixture because both clubs finished in the lower half last season, with only three points separating them in the final table.
Farke remains in charge after delivering promotion and then keeping the club in the Premier League. That continuity matters. Leeds do not need to introduce an entirely new style or ask the squad to impress another manager during pre-season.
Still, standing still is risky.
The promoted team of 2024/25 was built to dominate Championship matches. Last season’s version had to become more patient, physical and organised. Leeds scored 49 Premier League goals and conceded 56, finishing with 11 wins, 14 draws and 13 defeats.
There was genuine progress as the campaign developed. December produced an unbeaten run against opponents including Chelsea, Liverpool and Brentford, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin found a rich spell of form during the winter. Leeds later reached 40 points with four games remaining before sealing their safety against Burnley.
Now comes the awkward second step.
Can Leeds move towards the top half, or will the loss of several experienced squad members leave them looking over their shoulders again?
A top-half finish would require improvement, but it is not an absurd target.
Leeds ended 2025/26 seven points behind 10th-placed Chelsea. They were also only two points behind Everton and Newcastle United, who finished 13th and 12th.
Home form offers encouragement. Leeds collected 32 of their 47 points at Elland Road, making their own ground central to the survival campaign.
To move higher, they will probably need more away wins and fewer drawn matches. Fourteen league draws kept the points total ticking over, but turning only two or three of those games into victories would have changed the final position considerably.
The full range of finishing-position markets is available through the Premier League outright odds page.
A Leeds top-10 bet only concerns the final league table. Cup results do not affect it.
Leeds survived comfortably enough in the end, although last season was not free from difficult spells.
Four consecutive defeats in November increased the pressure, and the team had to respond during a demanding December schedule. They did. That recovery showed resilience, but it also demonstrated how quickly a poor month can change the mood around a newly promoted club.
Three teams finished below the survival line with fewer than 40 points. Leeds reached 47 and were six clear of 18th-placed West Ham.
Their relegation odds for 2026/27 will be influenced by the summer transfer window, the opening fixtures and whether last year’s leading players remain fit.
The promoted clubs may begin at shorter prices to go down. That does not remove Leeds from the market. A relegation bet wins if they finish 18th, 19th or 20th, regardless of how safe they looked earlier in the season.
Fourteenth place tells only part of the story.
Leeds’ first Premier League campaign in three years included a first league victory at Old Trafford since 1981 and a run to the FA Cup semi-finals. They beat Derby County and Norwich City, defeated Birmingham and West Ham on penalties, then lost 1-0 to Chelsea at Wembley.
Calvert-Lewin finished with 15 goals in all competitions. His winter scoring run helped Leeds through a period when points were urgently needed, and he remained a threat during the final weeks of the season.
Noah Okafor also produced important moments, including two goals in the away win at Manchester United. Ethan Ampadu’s contribution was recognised at the club awards, where the captain won both Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year.
It was not spectacular every week. It did not need to be.
The season proved Leeds could absorb difficult results, find goals from several areas and compete with established top-flight clubs without abandoning Farke’s approach.
Leeds have added Harry Wilson and Tarik Muharemović during the summer window.
Wilson joined following the expiry of his Fulham contract and signed a four-year deal. He can operate across the attack and brings considerable Premier League experience, along with a reliable left foot for crosses and set pieces.
Muharemović arrived from Sassuolo on a five-year contract. The 23-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina international gives Farke another tall, left-footed centre-back and comes in after a full season in Serie A.
There have also been notable departures.
Illan Meslier and Karl Darlow have left following the expiry of their contracts. Max Wöber has moved on, while Jack Harrison completed a permanent switch to New England Revolution after spending part of last season on loan at Fiorentina.
Facundo Buonanotte returned to Brighton at the end of his loan.
The arrival of Wilson should add creativity, but Leeds may still make further moves before the window closes. The squad, likely starting XI and Leeds United outright odds should therefore be checked again closer to the opening match.
The exact range depends on the fixture. A televised match against one of the title favourites will normally attract more markets than an early domestic cup tie.

Eligible fixtures may also support the Parimatch Bet Builder. This allows several selections from the same Leeds game to be combined, such as Leeds or draw, both teams to score and a player to have a shot on target.
All parts of the builder must succeed for the bet to win.
Last season’s FA Cup run showed that Leeds can make progress in a knockout competition while protecting their league position.
They reached the final four for the first time in 39 years before Chelsea ended the run at Wembley.
That performance may increase interest in the FA Cup odds for 2026/27.
Leeds will enter the Carabao Cup in the second round on 26 August. The final is scheduled for 21 March 2027.
The latest Carabao Cup outright odds cover the tournament winner. Individual cup matches may also include qualification betting, which is different from the standard 90-minute result.

Take another look at the market name before confirming it. Leeds to win after 90 minutes is different from Leeds to qualify in a cup tie. A top-10 finish is also different from a handicap or top-half market.
Once the match begins, selected Leeds United odds may remain available through in-play betting. Prices react to goals, cards, substitutions and the amount of time remaining, so check the score before betting.
