UFC Fight Night Emmet v Murphy Preview

Lerone Murphy is one of the most exciting British fighters in the UFC promotion right now. The Manchester-born featherweight, known as The Miracle, is currently ranked tenth in the UFC featherweight rankings.

To date, he has fifteen wins in his MMA career, with seven KOs. The only fight he failed to win was against Zubaira Tukhugov in his UFC debut in September 2019. The fight was extremely close, ending 28-28 for the only draw of Murphy’s career.

He goes into this fight against Josh Emmett as the favourite, thanks to recent wins against Dan Ige at UFC 308 and Edson Barboza at UFC Fight Night 241.

Josh Emmett is currently two ranking positions better than Murphy and is coming off the back of an impressive victory. He was brilliant at UFC 296 in December 2023, beating Bryce Mitchell with a first-round knockout.
