Italian fighter Marvin Vettori is ranked number eight in the UFC middleweight division, and “The Italian Dream” is a former Venator FC welterweight champion.

Njokuani v dos Santos Preview

Experienced American MMA competitor Chidi Njokuani is a former Muay Thai fighter and kickboxer with a 24-10 professional MMA record. He made his UFC debut in 2022, earning a Fight of the Night award after beating Marc-Andre Barriault by KO in the first round.

He followed it up with a second consecutive Fight of the Night award, beating Dusko Todorovic at UFC Fight Night 206 with another KO. Since then, he has lost to Gregory Rodrigues, Alber Duraev, and Michal Oleksiejczuk. He will see his bout against Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos as a good opportunity to climb the welterweight rankings.

A native of Parana, Brazil, dos Santos has an impressive mixed martial arts record and has been fighting in the UFC promotion since 2015. Since his doping ban ended in March 2023, he defeated Abubakar Nurmagomedov at UFC on ESPN 46 and drew against Rinat Fakhretdinov at UFC Fight Night 231.

After losing to Randy Brown at UFC 302, dos Santos beat newcomer Zach Scroggin by TKO in the first round at UFC Fight Night 247 after a rematch against Nicolas Dalby fell through.

Njokuani and dos Santos are evenly matched, and there is little to separate them ahead of this fight.
