After a short break, we return with our NAP of the Day, looking to make it three consecutive winners. Today, we have jumps meetings at Fakenham and Newton Abbot. Elsewhere, in search of a NAP, we have flat action at Nottingham, Kempton, and Dundalk.
NAP of the Day
After back-to-back winning NAPs on the jumps, we return to the flats with a Nottingham fancy. After a torrid start to the season, the Gosdens have begun to turn their form around in recent weeks. Today, they send Fireblade to the 2.38 at Nottingham.
Brother of Cracksman, arguably the best 3-year-old since Frankel, this horse is very well bred. After a fairly underwhelming debut, Fireblade improved greatly to finish a very respectable second to the undefeated Russian Crescendo.
On both occasions, he stayed on really well so should relish the step up in trip. And unlike some others in this race, the Gosden-trained horse has some useful soft-ground experience.
The obvious threat is Games People Play, with the Beckett camp in red-hot form. However, Fireblade has proven to be a progressive horse and should get off the mark today.
