Just a few days away in what could be a very important fixture in the bottom-half of the Premier League Table, Leicester City will face off against Everton at the King Power Stadium this Saturday at 3pm GMT. With the Foxes sitting in 15th place on 2 points and the Toffees dead-last and yet to secure a single point, both will be hoping to pull themselves out or further away from the relegation zone. While neither team has won in the Premier League this season, both sides won by several goals in their Carabao Cup fixtures on the 27th August against Tranmere Rovers and Doncaster respectively, so shouldn’t be overlooked when it comes to their ability to land all three points on the day.

H2H Standings

Having met an astounding 119 times to date, the stats seem pretty even. In fact, since the creation of the Premier League, of the sides 36 meetings, Leicester have won 9, Everton have won 11 and there have been 16 draws.
More recently, from their last 10 games against each other, Leicester have won 4, Everton have won 3 and there have been 4 draws, so there is little to separate the two teams, and almost all of their last meetings have astoundingly ended with between 2 and 4 goals scored, but will this Saturday’s game of Leicester City vs Everton follow suit?

Saturday’s Odds

Taking a look at the Leicester City vs Everton betting odds ahead of the weekend’s game, Parimatch have the game down as a close contest, at the time of writing. While the odds on Leicester City winning are priced at 13/10, meaning a £10 bet will pay out £23, Everton are only slightly further afield at current odds of 12/5, where the same £10 wager would return £34. With little to separate these two sides and a draw priced somewhere in the middle at 15/8, with £10 paying £28.75, let’s delve further into the two teams and their prospective line-ups.

Injuries and Line-Ups

With Leicester’s side almost back to full-strength and only 2 injuries to note – a long-term injury to forward Patson Daka and another to back-up goalkeeper Stolarczyk, the Foxes should have a strong team available this weekend. Their recent summer transfer window was a strong one – with incoming Ayew already on the teams score sheet and winger Fatawu starting every game so far, so there seems little to stop Leicester from landing their first win of the season this Saturday.
For Everton, there are a few more injury concerns, although several names may still feature this weekend. Coleman, Broja, Branthwaite and Chermiti are all currently doubtful or out till the end of the month, but while Broja hasn’t really played, so it’s hard to judge his abilities, and Coleman and Chermiti were just bit-part players last season, the absence of Jarrad Branthwaite could be a hard-one to make up. In addition, with the sale of one of their strongest defensive-midfielders, Onana, to rivals Villa in the Summer, eyes have turned to the new transfers in, and with Ndiaye already bagging a goal and Iroegbunam having started all five games, their summer transfer window could still prove to have been an effective one.

Parimatch Prediction

As proud sponsors of Leicester City Football Club, it seems easy for us to favour them this weekend, however with an almost full-selection of players available to choose from and having drawn only thanks to a last-minute penalty conversion by Crystal Palace on the weekend just gone, we think that despite a close game, the Foxes will edge out Everton and land their first win of the season.
