Rocket League is one of the most popular Esports ecosystems in the world. Players from all major regions compete annually in the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS).
The first Major in 2025 will be held in Birmingham, England, with 16 teams set to compete for prize money and ranking points in England’s second city.
Here, we preview Rocket League’s first Major of the year and explain how to bet on the action by creating an account at Parimatch Sportsbook.
First: What is Rocket League?
If you’re new to Esports betting, Rocket League is a sports-based game by Psyonix. In it, vehicles play a type of football, with eight players on each team.
Players must use rocket-powered vehicles to score goals against their opponents. The unique game has spawned a hugely successful Esports scene, thanks primarily to the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS), as introduced below.
Introducing RLCS Birmingham 2025
The RLCS is the biggest Esports circuit in the Rocket League ecosystem. In 2025, the top Rocket League teams will compete for a share of the increased prize pool of $5,000,000, which signifies the attraction of these events.
The tour is endorsed by Psyonix, the game developer, and produced by Blast ApS. It has been operational since 2016, with regional events, known as Majors, occurring throughout the year.
The Major in Birmingham is the first big RLCS event of 2025 and will feature 16 teams from around the world. The season ends with the Rocket League World Championship, the most prestigious event for Rocket League players.
Since a slightly revised format was introduced at the start of last year, the RLCS season now runs until September each year. Below are details of the RLCS winners of each season since its inception in 2016:

RLCS Birmingham: Qualified Teams and Format
Sixteen teams have qualified for the first RLCS major of the year, which will take place in Birmingham at the end of March.
