FISSURE Summer 2025 is a Counter-Strike 2 LAN tournament set to take place in Belgrade, Serbia. Sixteen top teams will compete for a $1 million prize pool at an event that blends high-stakes Esports action with a festival-like atmosphere featuring VR zones, fan meetups, and live broadcasts in multiple languages.

The event is arranged by FISSURE, an Esports event organiser from Armenia, now stationed in Belgrade, Serbia. Though not as prestigious as the Valve-backed events on the Counter-Strike circuit, FISSURE tournaments are highly engaging and streamed worldwide.

When and Where is FISSURE Summer 2025?

FISSURE Playground #1 (known as FISSURE Summer 2025) is a Counter-Strike 2 LAN event at the Sava Centre in Belgrade, Serbia. It will run from July 15 to 20, 2025.

FISSURE Summer 2025: Confirmed Teams, Format & Prize Money

Sixteen of the world’s most successful Counter-Strike 2 teams have already confirmed their attendance at FISSURE Summer 2025.

Counter-Strike 2 is a tactical first-person shooter game developed by Valve. Professional teams compete in tournaments like ESL Pro League, BLAST Premier, and various majors, showcasing strategic gameplay, sharp reflexes, and teamwork.

It’s one of the most watched Esports games in the world, and fans keep up to date with the top teams via Valve’s official rankings.

Counter-Strike 2 fans will note the absence of top teams like Vitality, Falcons, MOUZ, Spirit, and G2, who opted to sit this one out to focus on other priorities. It allows some of the teams lower in the Valve rankings to shine in Belgrade.

GamerLegion and Astralis will be among the favourites to win FISSURE Summer 2025, given their position in and around the top ten of the Valve world rankings at the time of writing.

Format & Schedule

The 16 teams will be split into four groups of four. These are double-elimination groups, and the top two teams in each group advance to the playoffs. All group stage matches are in the best-of-three format.

In the playoffs, teams will meet in a single-elimination bracket. The quarter-finals and semi-finals are best-of-three, with the winning team progressing to the next round. The last two teams standing will meet in the grand final, which is the only contest in the tournament that is a best-of-five match-up.

Prize Money

FISSURE Summer 2025 has a prize fund of $1,000,000. $550,000 goes to the clubs, while $450,000 is split between the players. As always, the top teams earn more, while the lower-ranked teams will essentially have their expenses covered.

Other FISSURE Tournaments to Look Forward to

This event in Belgrade is Playground #1, the first Counter-Strike event in this series. It follows the hugely successful Dota 2 events, the first of which ran in January and February 2025 in Belgrade.

The next event in the series, Playground #2, is scheduled for September 9-21, 2025, and will also be held in Belgrade, Serbia. The format will be the same, but we expect a prize pool of $1.25 million, slightly more than the prize money offered for this event.
