Gilberto Ramirez and Yuniel Dorticos will meet in California on the same night that Jake Paul and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will battle it out in another influencer-inspired boxing card.
However, Ramirez and Dorticos are fighting for more than pride and money. The pair will meet for the Unified Cruiserweight Championship (WBO & WBA), so we can expect fireworks at the Honda Centre in Anaheim.

Ramirez v Dorticos Full Card
The fight between Ramirez and Dorticos will play second fiddle to the bout between Jake Paul and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, which will headline the night in California.
However, given that the Unified Cruiserweight Championship is on the line, many boxing purists agree that the Ramirez v Dorticos fight is the star attraction, rather than the Jake Paul fight.

Ramirez v Dorticos Preview
Gilberto Ramirez is a Mexican boxer with a seriously impressive record. Ramirez has won 47 of his 48 career fights, with 30 wins by KO. His solitary defeat came in a unanimous decision loss against Dmitry Bivol in November 2022 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi.
Ramirez has recovered in his three fights since this defeat, beating Joe Smith Jr., Arsen Goulamirian, and Chris Billam-Smith. In his bout against Goulamirian in March 2024, he won the WBA cruiserweight title, which he retained against Billam-Smith.
His win over Billam-Smith also saw him secure the WBO cruiserweight title, and both belts are on the line as he takes on Yuniel Dorticos later this month.
Dorticos will be a formidable opponent for Ramirez. The Cuban fighter has 27 wins from his 29 career bouts, and 25 of these have been knockouts. Like Ramirez, Dorticos is on a three-fight winning streak, after defeating Jesse Bryan, Deibis Berrocal, and Alan Campa on his last three outings.
However, in his last title fight, Dorticos lost to Mairis Briedis, losing the IBF cruiserweight title in the process, which he won against Andrew Tabiti in Riga one year earlier.
While the power of Dorticos could spark a surprise, Ramirez will likely have too much for the Cuban fighter, and we fancy him to retain his belts. Either way, you can bet on both fighters to win this cruiserweight title showdown at Parimatch Sportsbook.
Paul vs Cesar Chavez Jr. Preview
We can’t write about Ramirez v Dorticos without mentioning the fight between Jake Paul and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. The controversial YouTuber is back in the ring for the first time since defeating Mike Tyson, and he will take on another boxing legend who is coming out of retirement for one last payday.
Chavez Jr. showcased his versatility by competing in various weight divisions, from super featherweight to cruiserweight. Over 62 professional bouts, he secured 54 victories and suffered just six defeats. He enjoyed a dominant stretch early in his career, going undefeated in his first 46 fights.
His reign as WBC middleweight champion lasted from 2011 to 2012, a highlight in his career. The turning point came in September 2012, when Sergio Martinez handed him his first loss via unanimous decision.
We have little doubt that Chavez Jr. would dismantle Paul if he met him at the peak of his powers. However, given the age difference between the two men, the influencer is in the driving seat. As such, we have Paul as the favourite to win this one.
